Fenix restarting itself during activity
This happened several times during a run activity. New firmware and full restart didn't help.

Fénix 2 Special Disappointment
Просмотров 1,7 тыс.9 лет назад
A few months ago I bought a Fenix 2, I intended to use it to help me train for a mountain race in April. So far it's been a huge disappointment. In almost every run activity, the watch suddenly restarts itself so you can no longer monitor the activity. It happened when the lap (of 1km) was about to finish. I send several emails to Garmin´s support, updated the firmware, etc. So far not good. An...
Like a crazy warm oven for your head.

First, just want to thank Backcountry.com and Spacecraft for sending the Dock to me to review. This hat is warm. No, it's crazy warm. My head broke a sweat while strolling through the city the other day. It was 20°F outside and everything on me was cold except for my head! I primarily do activities like hiking, snowshoeing - things that get the body heat going. I am a bit concerned that this ha...

Threw these on for the first time at the bottom of the skin track this morning. It was single digit temps so I had them on the second I got out of the car. While a little bulky feeling at first, I think they will feel less like that as they break in. I wore them from the car, all the way up the skin track, and through the descent. My hands never got cold during the process. Stoked on my purchase.
Knife Edge to Northern Terminus of AT
Просмотров 1759 лет назад
The Knife Edge Trail is perhaps the most spectacular trail in New England - and also the most dangerous. Mt Katahdin’s Baxter Peak is the northern terminus of the Appalachian Trail. We were 6 ½ hours into our hike of rock strewn, rugged and prolonged steepness on the Dudley trail. We finally ascended Chimney Peak to reach the start of the 1.1 mile high Knife Edge Trail. I strapped my GoPro HERO...
It stays on.

I took this video to show you the extent to which Doc rolls - add this level of rolling with lots of bushwhacking (yesterday we attempted to get through dense bittersweet and multiflora rose) and it's amazing the vest still stays on! This jacket can stand up to anything.

Big Thanks ato Backcountry.com and Xsories for picking me to review XSories U-Shot for the backcountry.com community! The U-shot is a handy recording device that allows you to attach a GoPro or a smartphone to capture selfies or extend the field of view. The handle on the U-shot is really light weight aluminum so it doesn't feel like you're carrying it while also providing enough heft so you do...
I’ve had my pair for 12 years. Frame is still in great condition. Replacement lenses are cheap.
idiots!
I have a pair of these Oakley Monster Dog, and they make a fine pair of riding glasses.
nice
I have the Diamir Titanal II.. It is the most awesome binding ever. It has never had any spoky releases. It has managed a high vertical drop when the ski itself broke. A part broke once I vertically fell on rocks. But I praised it since I could have injured myself badly instead. I had a spare part and changed the broken part. No problem. After that it was ready to rip once again.
Hi Cody I am a fan of your skies and for me the Hokkaido are the best skies I have ever had. Here I am to ask you an advice for my next purchase. Wish you all the best! David from the Alps
Eu estive aqui 🇧🇷
good job
Hi what do you think about scout DC that's an older model .
So cool. I wish I liked climbing and heights more because I love the gear and technical side of it. SLC has such cool outdoors stuff. I’m very sad our lake is going to disappear.
I’m 5’5 1/2 my torso length is 17 inches is that normal?
How do you get out the wrinkles in the hat (delivered with wrinkles).
This ski is not light. It's on the heavier side I believe
Thx xxx

The most straightforward video on daisy-chain use and or misuse I've seen! And I've watched quite a few. Could save your life; great educational video on daisy -chain use.
Damn it. Nobody explains how to loosen the inner lock. Edit: I figure it out. Damn, you got to pull it hard. Jeeze!
Just got one but after i washed it it lost it’s puffyness any idea how to restore it?
Thanks God he is not on a drugs.... LoL 🤣 👍
Я люблю эти лыжи и с удовольствием катаюсь на них до сих пор!
Excellent demostration, thanks!!
Thanks very useful
It has been almost ten years since Oakley made what I consider the stupidest financial move I can think of in history by discontinuing the Monster dogs. Those were without a doubt the best sunglasses ever. They fit virtually anyones face, they were comfortable, versatile, and great for any occasion. In my opinion, the fact that they stopped production on it deserves the biggest facepalm ever. Although, if they announced that they were going to now make a limited amount of them to please customers, I bet hardcore Oakley fans would pay a crazy amount for authentic Monster dogs. I certainly would consider it.
Agree, lot's of great features with this hat, although there are those of us that could really use a black, light absorbing under-brim colour instead (showing the underbrim in the website main pictures would speed up the process of sifting through hats looking for this feature). Thank you, be safe and healthy!
How do I write the jacket's name?
Best sun glasses ever made. Have two of them. Both 15 years old but still in good shape.
so concise, much information, very useful. 10/10
I have the 115 and they are my favorite skis ever. Damp and powerful powder skis and crud smashers with powerful tails that you can trust to pull you out of trouble.
Hi! What model of BOA system is on these boots?
Did K2 change the construction of them over the years or just the paint job? Cheers.
Wtf is this its not rocket
I often (not always) use this, but at the end cinch, I first open the bite & drop it over the top of the coil, down to the top of the previous wraps. One advantage is that the rope rests a few inches higher on my back (not past my butt), and the other is that the lines don't crowd my neck, but come out further on my shoulders, to a more comfortable position for the body wrap under my pits first, then around the back. This is also cooler & more comfortable if you apply it over a pack. Your body shape & type will affect what body wrap is most comfortable & stable, so experiment. PS: It also does not matter when you butterfly, if you go straight down & cross up, or even mix them, as long as you never straight down & up, nor cross down & up. PPS: Another advantage of this done quickly, is that the rope tends to untangle more easily than when lifted slowly. However, it cannot be so easily done with a hanging rope.
not sure what kind of daisy chains you have, but mine each loop is rated for 22kn, as well as the overall length strength. 250lbs? You shouldn't be putting your weight on ANYthing that has a breaking weight at 250lbs!
Do you have one with individual links? Those are rated for 22kn per link. These sewn one are not.
Gosh darnit. I just wasted half an hour trying to figure out how to coil a rope with the over and under method without kinking it or messing it up. And then your video showed me a better way that I learned in 5 minutes. This is incredible.
can you buy original MD replacement lens, as i’ve checked dreadbay & they have a 💩 load of chinese replacement lens but idk 🤷🏻♂️ can’t seem to find anything monster dog original lens, even from oakley probably cause they on verge of vintage models now.

Damn
What a great technique and great simple video :)
Shamans on foot, lots of uncut powder and the whole place to yourself.
Is there a way to change the bulb?
I love Andrew McLean's review of this shovel. And getting a product vouch from him is gold.
I had to watch it 5 times on 25% speed to see what he was doing, but it’s super slick!
Straigth up and cross down. Good point. Thank you!!
Thank you I enjoyed watching very much.
I have yet to find a touring boot that skis well so I actually use Trekkers still and it's 2020 baby. I Ride on Look pivots and yes, there are issues. Most of them can be resolved by taping a small half inch thick piece of plywood under the metal tube just in front of the heel piece... I just now realized that this comment is probably a waste of time. But since I started it, I will finish it! I'm that kind of a person you know. When I start something, I finish it. Maybe that's why I'm still hiking on Trekkers.. No, that aint it. I'm hiking on trekkers because when skiing down, I'm skiing in real solid race boots. No soft boot backseat buttering on my behalf.
My first lead instructor showed me this method and I couldn't find a video with the criss-cross butterfly method. Thanks!
cant see shit
Great technique and you're so quick!! I didn't notice how you alternate the wrap around your neck from left to right; critical! Thanks so much!!
